Seven years and several hit songs later, Adele and Simon Konecki have decided to call their marriage quits in a statement issued by the singer’s representatives. The former couple’s main concern now is co-parenting their son, Angelo. They’re both committed to raising their child with one another in the most loving way possible and provide everything Angelo needs.

They then asked for privacy, adding they would give no further comments about their separation. Adele and Simon like to be amicable for each other for their son’s sake. They didn’t want their breakup to be messy, thoroughly thinking of their decisions a hundred times so that it wouldn’t affect Angelo to any degree. Adele and Simon simply grew apart, though they had many common interests at the start of their relationship. According to sources, it might have something to do with Adele’s fame.
