GARRY SHANDLING, 66 YEARS OLD

American stand-up comedian, producer, writer, director, and actor Garry Emmanuel Shandling was widely famous for his work on The Larry Sanders Show, where he played Larry Sanders. Since it started airing on HBO in 1992, it became a huge success. He got 18 Emmy Award nominations, and he finally won in 1998, taking home the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. He was also known for being the star of It’s Garry Shandling’s Show. He won two Golden Globes Awards throughout his four-decade career, and he was nominated 19 times for a Primetime Emmy Award. Moreover, he even hosted the Emmy Awards three times and the Grammy Awards four times.

On November 29, 1949, Garry was born in Chicago, Illinois. However, he grew up in Tucson, Arizona. After Garry attended Palo Verde High School, he went on to get a college degree from the University of Arizona. He was active in the entertainment industry from 1975 until he passed away on March 24, 2016, at 66 years.
