DICK VAN DYKE, 95 YEARS OLD

For some time during his childhood, Dick Van Dyke was interested in a career in the ministry. That eventually changed when he went to high school and developed a newfound passion for acting. Even so, the now-famous actor still believes these two professions to be similar to some degree. After all, they both aim to inspire lives and spark a light in people’s hearts.

At this point, it’s safe to say Van Dyke is quite a recognizable figure in the entertainment industry. The veteran actor first shot to fame in the radio and Broadway scene. Soon after, his popularity soared to even greater heights when he starred in his very own sitcom, The Dick Van Dyke Show. Since then, the actor has worked on other projects such as Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy, and the Night at the Museum movies and Mary Poppins Returns. The actor may no longer be as active today. Still, fans and celebrities alike celebrate his many contributions to the industry.
