ADRIENNE BARBEAU, 75 YEARS OLD

Adrienne Barbeau hasn’t aged at all. How is it possible? Is she about to discover the fountain of youth? Adrienne Jo Barbeau is a musician, actress, and author who has written three novels. Back in 1971, the lovely actress landed the part of Rizzo in the original production of Grease. After that, she several acting credits in TV and film, including The Cannonball Run, Escape from New York, The Fog, and Swamp Thing. Her most well-known appearance, however, was in the 1972 television show Maude.

She rose to prominence in the 1990s as the voice of Catwoman on Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1995) and subsequent Batman cartoons. She also played Ruthie, the snake dancer, on HBO’s Carnivàle in the 2000s. In an animated remake of The Dark Knight Rises’ third trailer, Barbeau reprised her role as Catwoman. This trailer was created to support Hub’s ten-episode marathon of Batman: The Animated Series and celebrate the upcoming film. In addition, she played Berthe in Pippin with the Broadway Touring Company of the acclaimed musical in 2015.
