MAGIC JOHNSON, 61 YEARS OLD


Magic Johnson remains one of the most famous and iconic basketball players to have graced the NBA courts. Along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, he was a pivotal piece of the favorite ‘80s Los Angeles Lakers legendary lineup that won five championships during the ‘80s. Moreover, he was given credit for being the NBA Most Valuable Player three times and played in the NBA finals nine times. And during his prime era in the ‘80s, his rivalry with Larry Bird and the Celtics was one of sports entertainment’s must-watch events. Johnson is also a member of The Dream Team, the distinguished Olympic US basketball team which won the 1992 Olympics.

After Johnson retired as a pro basketball player from the NBA in 1992, he continued to be a great ambassador. He founded the Magic Johnson All-Stars, which traveled across the world playing exhibition games. His most recent sports achievements were as co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Sparks. The Sparks won the WNBA Championships in 2016, and the Dodgers won the World Series in 2020.
