BOB BARKER, 97 YEARS OLD

Considered a host for all seasons, Bob Barker is given credit not only for being the long-time host of The Price Is Right (a post he held from 1972 to 2007) but also for hosting the Miss USA Miss Universe pageants from 1967 to 1987. The now 97-year-old Barker is retired, but not after leaving a lasting legacy in the hosting business. His other major gig is on the show Truth or Consequences.

Barker was not really made for hosting game shows since he initially started his career on the radio with his own The Bob Barker Show. This was a continuation of his part-time radio stint when he was still in college. What introduced him to the game show world was Truth or Consequence, which Bob hosted from 1956 to 1975. Now enjoying his retirement years, Barker has had some health issues. Still, he has been taking the necessary steps to recover.
