JULIA MCKENZIE, 80 YEARS OLD

The BAFTA-nominated actress has always been thrilled receiving new roles, whether as Miss Marple, a character out of Agatha Christie’s books, or Shirley Mollison, the mother-in-law from hell. Julia McKenzie, now 80 years old, has shown versatility as an actress. Even at a very mature age of 73, she did not hesitate to show some legs when filming for a James Bond movie.

McKenzie has also been part of many musicals, including Side by Side by Sondheim, winning the Olivier Award twice for being the best actress in a musical. Among her major credits and her work on the radio are projects such as on The Country Wife and Blithe Spirit. This is on top of being a director for Steel Magnolias and A Little Night Music. In recognition of her work on drama, Queen Elizabeth conferred her a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2018.
