GENE REYNOLDS, 96 YEARS OLD
Growing up, Gene Reynolds spent most of his childhood in Detroit before he and his parents decided to relocate to Los Angeles with the help of a moving company. He spent the following years in school and finished his studies as a history major, graduating from UCLA.
As a child actor, he appeared in projects such as Our Gang and Captains Courageous. He continued his career after university with roles in The Country Girl, Adventure in Washington, and Eagle Squadron. After a while, he shifted his focus to filmmaking. He later spent the rest of his career as a writer and director. A couple of titles he worked on include The Andy Griffith Show, Leave It to Beaver, Tales of Wells Fargo, and most especially, M*A*S*H. With all he’s achieved, it’s no surprise he also earned a couple of awards, one of which was an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series for his work on M*A*S*H.
