DEBBIE HARRY, 75 YEARS OLD

After finishing her studies at Hackettstown, New Jersey’s Centenary College, Debbie Harry worked several jobs to help with whatever personal loans she had. These jobs include waitressing and her one-year stint as BBC Radio’s secretary. Soon after, she found a door leading her to even more success.

She started her music career around the late 1960s, with her earlier gigs being a backup singer for the folk-rock group The Wind in the Willows. Debbie then followed this up by creating a new band called the Stilettoes, where she met soon-to-be Blondie band member Chris Stein. Besides gracing concert stages and the airwaves, Debbie also dabbled in acting. A couple of notable films she worked on include Body Bags, Hairspray, and Heavy. Despite the success she’s had working in front of the camera, Debbie is still most known for being Blondie’s frontman. With their most recent album being 2017’s Pollinator, it’s safe to say this singer won’t be bidding the stage farewell just yet.
