JUNE LOCKHART, 96 YEARS OLD

June Lockhart made her film debut on A Christmas Carol in 1938, opposite her parents. She also portrayed supporting roles in Meet Me in St. Louis, All This, Sergeant York, and The Yearling. In 1946, she starred in She-Wolf of London and appeared in an episode of CBS’s Appointment with Adventure in 1995. During this time, the actress made several appearances on legal drama Justice on NBC, which was based on case files of the Legal Aid Society of New York.

In the late 1950s, Lockhart guest-starred in several popular television Westerns, including Cimarron City, Wagon Train, Have Gun – Will Travel, and Gunsmoke. Lockhart won the Tony Award in 1948 for Outstanding Performance by a Newcomer—a category that is not included anymore—for her role on Broadway in For Love or Money. The 95-year-old actress has two stars in Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, one for television and the other is for film—credit to her skills in acting.
