TINA LOUISE, 87 YEARS OLD

American actress Tina Blacker, best known for her stage name Tina Louise, is credited for portraying Ginger Grant in the hit CBS TV show Gilligan’s Island, which showcases seven castaways as they attempt to survive on an island together. Although she did not play Grant in the pilot season, she gained popularity playing the glamour queen. There, she gained mainstream success but soon declined when she reprised her role as Grant in spin-offs and future sequels with the fear of being typecast.

She has also had starring roles in numerous films, including The Happy Trap, The Happy Ending, and The Stepford Wives. She also received the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year back in 1958 for her role in the drama film God’s Little Acre. Apart from her acting chops, she also tried her hand in the music industry, producing one record album entitled It’s Time for Tina.
