TIPPI HEDREN, 91 YEARS OLD

Nathalie Kay “Tippi” Hedren is best known for her work in the fashion industry. The American model was featured in the covers of Life and Glamour magazine. When the famous director Alfred Hitchcock took notice of Hedren in one of her commercials, she shortly became one the most well-known actresses of the ‘60s, receiving mainstream success when she starred in the thriller film, The Birds earning her a Golden Globe award.

She also takes credit for her work on the psychological drama Marnie. Additionally, she has appeared in numerous films, TV shows, earning her spot in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was awarded the Jules Verne Award for her cinematic excellence and contribution to the industry. Apart from her acting career, she is also an avid animal rights activist, and she was able to produce a film using her platform named Roar, starring dozens of African Lions. The film inspired the nonprofit Roar Foundation and Hedren’s Shambala Preserve.
