Diane Keaton – 75, Actress

Diane Keaton began her acting career in 1970, appearing in several TV shows and advertisements. She got her first big break in 1972 when she played the role of Kay Adams in the classic film The Godfather, and she reprised the role two years later in The Godfather Part II. She starred in Annie Hall and many other Woody Allen films, which helped her gain international recognition and raise her credit score.

Though Keaton has starred alongside some great leading men on film (Sam Shepard, Steve Martin, and Jack Nicholson come to mind), she has never married in real life. As someone who often portrays ambitious, career-oriented women on screen, the actress’ life seems to be an example of life imitating art, as she once said she wasn’t born to be a wife. However, this isn’t a mentality that the self-described “random ball” developed over time. The actress has known that marriage would not be a part of her life story since she was a child. However, she came dangerously close to marrying her Godfather co-star Al Pacino.
