JULIE ANDREWS, 86 YEARS OLD

With a career spanning almost a decade, Julie Andrews has received several awards and recognitions, including an Academy Award, three Grammy Awards, British Film Academy Award, and two Emmy Awards. She was made a Disney Legend in 1991 and honored with an Honorary Golden Lion and AFI Life Achievement Award. She was then made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for her services to the performing arts.

Andrews began her career as a child singer and actress in 1948, and she appeared in the West End theatre. She made her Broadway debut in the 1954 The Boy Friend. The actress also voiced Princes Zeila in the Italian animated film The Singing Princess in 1949. She starred in Broadway musicals, such as Eliza Doolittle, My Fair Lady, and Camelot, which credited her as Britain’s youngest prima donna. Andrews landed her feature film debut in the 1964 movie Mary Poppins, and she won the Academy Award for Best Actress.
