GRAHAM NASH, 79 YEARS OLD

The British-American artist is known for being part of the folk-rock group Crosby, Stills & Nash, but he is also an equally accomplished solo artist. His tenor voice gives his songs a distinct sound, and his songwriting is just as impressive. He penned some of CSN’s most popular tracks, including Marrakesh Express, Wasted on the Way, Our House, and Just a Song Before I Go. Some of these were rejected by his other group, The Hollies.

Aside from simply making music, he is an avid photography collector. He began the hobby as a child, but it continued to grow with him. By 1976, he had managed to acquire over a thousand prints. He got ample home security systems for his collection; he also hired Graham Howe as photography curator. In 1990, he decided to sell his collection through Sotheby’s, setting a record for the highest-grossing sale of a single private collection of the like.
