NEIL DIAMOND, 80 YEARS OLD
Before he became a world-famous musician, Neil Diamond was honing his skills at fencing. During his childhood years, he was primarily focused on fencing and even got a college scholarship. However, while he was studying for his pre-med degree, he became enamored with music. Now, at age 80, it seems Neil Diamond has pursued music. His songs often found themselves at the top of the Billboard charts. Among such songs include Yesterday’s Songs, Longfellow Serenade, Cracklin’ Rose, and Song Sung Blue. However, what is considered to be his most famous song is Sweet Caroline.
Today, Diamond has since retired starting in 2018. This was due to his Parkinson’s disease. Despite this, he remains very popular. He has been glorified over the years, with the most recent in 2018. During that year, he received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award for his long contributions to the arts.
