PAUL MCCARTNEY, 79 YEARS OLD
One of the greatest musicians in history, Sir Paul McCartney still manages to captivate the crowd, just as he did for decades. Even at a young age, McCartney was already tuned to music, owing mainly to his father. He began his career in 1957 when he met John Lennon and joined his band, The Quarrymen. Eventually, the band has renamed The Beatles. The band became a legend in the music world, with its Beatlemania becoming an emblematic term describing the band’s popularity. Countless songs from the band are considered to be quite iconic and are still played to this day. Although the band disbanded in 1970, McCartney had newfound success as a solo artist.
Today, McCartney still sings some Beatles classics in his concert tours. Aside from composing songs, McCartney has also dabbled into music composition, mainly orchestral music. His most recent project was McCartney III, which was released in 2020 to critical acclaim. Throughout his life, he was given credit due to his numerous contributions to art. In 1988, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
