ARSENIO HALL, 65 YEARS OLD
While he has slowed his career down, Arsenio Hall is still up and kicking at age 65. Hall is widely regarded as a pioneer within the entertainment industry. He began his comedy, appearing in TV shows and movies such as Soul Train, Coming to America, and Thicke of the Night. In 1989, the big break happened when he became the first late-night TV black host through his show The Arsenio Hall Show. The show’s signature chant ‘Woof! Woof! Woof!’ became part of popular culture. His show ran until 1994 and was quite famous among young viewers.
Hall put his career on hiatus from 1998 until 2013 to focus on his family. Most significantly, he was making significant investments in his son. Since his hiatus ended, Hall has managed to get some projects. His most recent was Coming 2 America, sequel to Coming to America. Despite being released during the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie became highly successful.
