CYNDI LAUPER – DAVID THORNTON

Cyndi Lauper never imagined she’d be able to find the love of her life when she was younger. Despite this, in 1991, the singer married David Thornton, with whom she has a son, Declyn Wallace Thornton.

Thanks to singles like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Lauper became a musical icon in the 1980s. Her debut album, She’s So Unusual, catapulted her to a degree of stardom that made her into the legend she is today. Cyndi met David during the filming of the movie Off and Running. During that time, Cyndi was going through a difficult period after breaking up with her lover and manager, Dave Wolf. Soon after, the two began dating and exchanged vows. The couple seems to be still going strong after 30 years of marriage. They also starred in Here and There, a Serbian film that won the Best New York Narrative Award in 2009. For her, the key to a happy marriage is to stay together and work things out.
