GRADY DEMOND WILSON – CICELY JOHNSTON
Demond Wilson is an actor and author who became famous during the 1970s and 1980s. He is well-known for his role as Lamont Sanford in the NBC sitcom Sanford and Son. Other notable roles he took include Oscar Madison in The New Odd Couple and Me and the Kid. He began to make a serious investment in acting after being honorably discharged in the U.S. Army back in 1968. During his early career, he met then-model Cicely Johnston. After a few years of dating, they tied the knot in 1974.
While Wilson has continued his career as an actor and later on, an author, Johnston has retired from modeling altogether. Together, they have six children. Their children today have successful lives on their own. Despite the massive downturns faced by Wilson during the 1980s and 1990s, they managed to overcome all struggles and remain happily married for more than four decades.
