JAY LENO – MAVIS ELIZABETH NICHOLSON-LENO

Whether you love or hate him, Jay Leno has certainly been an icon of American television. He is famous for being a late-night talk show host for more than 30 years. Initially working as a substitute host to Johnny Carson, he had his late-night talk show from 1992 until 2014. While he faced controversy in the late 2000s, he has managed to maintain his prominence in Hollywood. Along the way, his wife Mavis has supported him fully.

Mavis and Jay first met in 1976 while he was performing stand-up in Los Angeles. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in 1980. Despite having no children, they remain happily married for more than 40 years. While Jay is a talk show host, Mavis is a feminist activist and has set up various non-profits to advance women’s rights. Aside from Jay’s love for his wife, he is also well-known for his vast car collection. He made a serious investment in collecting cars in 1964. Today, he has collected more than 200 cars.
