Anita Hill – 64, Lawyer

Anita Hill is a lawyer who became very well-known for testifying during the confirmation of then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas back in 1991. Hill’s testimony about Thomas’s misconduct became a big moment in American history, and it was given credit for having raised the issue of workplace harassment in the U.S. While her testimony moved many Americans, the effect was not present on the Senate Judiciary Committee that oversaw Thomas’ nomination. Eventually, Thomas was confirmed to the Supreme Court by a 52-48 vote. This had a profound effect on Hill’s later life.

While Hill became romantically involved in 2001, she never tied the knot. According to Newsweek’s interview with her, she cited that a lot of women in America aren’t getting married. Now at the age of 64, it seems that Hill and her partner are quite committed to each other but are still living separately.
