Shonda Rhimes, 51, Screenwriter/Television Producer
Shonda Rhimes is one of the biggest names in the entertainment business, being the screenwriter, creator, and executive producer of several fantastic shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and Private Practice. She has a degree in film studies which puts her in the best position to develop programs that speak to a lot of its viewers. Her first gig was writing the HBO movie, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. She moved on to writing Crossroads which was the debut film of Britney Spears. Rhimes can also be credited to writing the sequel to Princess Diaries, Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
Many are wondering why the producer and director never got married. Well, between her busy schedule of writing and shooting her programs, Rhimes spend her time tending to her adopted children and one via surrogate. She admits that she is happy the way her life is without a husband by her side and it seems she is just doing fine on her own.
