The world did lose an NBA legend, an inspiration for many, but most of all, a husband to his wife, a father to his kids, and a son to his parents. On January 26, 2020, the helicopter he, his daughter Gianni, and several other passengers, crashed in Calabasas, California. Not even of them survived the tragic event. News and people from social media immediately expressed their sadness and shock because of the sudden passing of the world-renowned basketball player.

Impressive and legendary are understatements to describe the career of Kobe. However, during his two decades’ stay on the court, he scored five NBA Championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, and 18X NBA All-Star. He was married to Vanessa Laine on April 18, 2001, and eventually had four children, all daughters, Natalia, Gianni, Bianka, and Capri. Laine called her attorney in 2011 to undo her marriage with Bryant but thankfully reconciled. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kobe had a $600 million fortune before he breathed his last.
