Ed Byrnes was one of the rare celebrities who knew his stands, beliefs, and investments so well. He stood up for what he believed in. At the peak of his career, he left Warner Brothers and abandoned his hipster image, declaring that he was free. Apparently, he had issues with the company.

At 17 years old, the actor entered the world of modeling. He also got an unpaid job in a summer stock theatre company. He was 13 when he dropped his last name in favor of “Byrnes”, based on the name of his maternal grandfather. Byrnes became successful in his chosen career, but his journey was a bumpy one. He struggled at the beginning of his career in Hollywood, but he eventually became recognized. He became a chart recording artist with Kookie, Kookie. He also was featured in the 1978 film Grease. He had other professions too, like driving an ambulance and selling flowers.
