Derek Fowlds

Derek Fowlds is a veteran and retired British actor and father of the actor Jeremy Fowlds. Derek started acting on the stage at The Miracle Worker. Fowlds later joined big screen acting in 1963 for the film Tamahine. He is also known for appearing in various films such as Eas Sundan, Frankenstein Created Woman, Tower Evil, and Mistress Pamela.

He gained prominence on the small screen as he played Bernard Woolley in the TV series Yes Minister and Yes, Prime Minister. Fowlds also appeared in Edward the Seventh in 1975 as Lord Randolph Churchill. As such, his lasts few projects were in the TV series Heartbeat from 1992 to 2010 and Run for Your Wife in 2012. Since then, he sheltered himself as a private citizen and enjoying his retirement insurance. On January 17, 2020, the family and friends of the actor mourned over the passing of the veteran actor. Fowlds was 82 at that time. As such, his good friend, Basil Bruch, recited a poem dedicated to the actor.
