Carol Sutton

Carol Sutton was born on December 3, 1944, and was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her first acting stint in television was in the 1974 TV show The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. As Sutton fell in love with acting, she dedicated most of her time to filming, which led to her numerous acting credits. As such, she was part of the ensemble of many highly acclaimed films such as Steel Magnolias, The Pelican Brief, Runaway Jury, and The Help. Sutton is also known for her appearances in many TV shows such as Claws, Scream: The TV Series, and Queen Sugar. Due to her contribution to the film industry, she became the pride of her hometown in New Orleans, to which she was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. Her last movies were Freedom’s Path, In the Bag, and Lovecraft Country.

At the age of 76, the veteran stage and film actress faded away and was remembered by her family, friends, and even the whole community of New Orleans.
