Arnie Robinson Jr.

Arnie Paul Robinson Jr. is a long jumper who made a name for himself as an Olympian. He won a bronze medal in 1972 and was a gold medalist in 1976. Robinson first started as an athlete in the long jump category. When he was in high school, he was seen to have potential in sports. He got support from all the schools he attended and in 1970, was able to win a championship title in the NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

After finishing his degree in college, Robinson continued his career as an athlete. He won several national long jump titles and was ranked one of the best long jumpers in the world. When he retired from professional competition, Robinson went back to school, not as a student but as a coach in health and fitness at San Diego Mesa College. He inspired many young students with his achievements. For more than two decades, Robinson served as a teacher and coach and later on retired due to health problems. He then spent the rest of his life regaining his health and focusing on himself and his family.
